NEW EMT CLASS ANNOUNCED! If you have ever thought about becoming an EMT, now is your chance. The next class at Lake Monticello Rescue Squad will begin on August 9, 2010, with a CPR class for those who need it. Students must have one of 5 State-recognized and valid CPR cards by the start date of the class, and must be at least 16 years of age. The tuition for the entire class including the CPR class is $175. For those who have a valid CPR card, the total class tuition is $150. To register, prospective students must come to one of the registration sessions listed below. A check for the entire tuition must be presented at the time of registration. If you believe you have a valid CPR card, you should bring this to the registration session. The space in the class will be limited, so the class will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration sessions at Lake Monticello Rescue Squad, 14 Slice Road, Palmyra, VA: 1. Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 6:30PM 2. Sunday, July 18, 2010, at 4:00PM. 3. Late registration (if class not filled) Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 6:30PM. Class schedule: First class, CPR, Monday August 9, 2010, 6:30PM. First EMT class after CPR class is Thursday, August 12, 2010, 6:30PM. Classes will be held each Monday and Thursday from 6:30PM to 10:00PM. Last class will be January 20, 2011.
